LIBERTY LEAVITT

FOR CCSD trustee, District a

Liberty Leavitt is the leader we need—from her unique qualifications working as an education equity advocate in our community, to her understanding of the issues in our schools having seen them first hand in the classroom and administration as a teacher. Unlike her opponent Liberty’s skill set and experience is current and relevant to our students’ needs.

Liberty served as the Magnet Theme Coordinator and Recruiter at Advanced Technologies Academy (A-TECH) for six years before moving to the Clark County School District (CCSD) School-Community Partnership Program, which serves as the conduit between the school district and local community. Liberty is a consensus building and brings solutions to the table. Our school district needs someone who can build coalitions and the power of effective communication—which CCSD desperately needs to improve.

She continues her passion serving the students who need it most with her current outreach and development position at CORE. Liberty Leavitt is a fifth generation Nevadan. The challenges our next Board of Trustees will face will be unlike anything they’ve seen before. We need a Trustee who is from our community and knows the decisions she makes today during this time of crisis, will have an impact on our students’ long term opportunities tomorrow.

School Board races are often overlooked, in favor of higher profile partisan elections, but make no mistake: in Nevada in 2020, they are some of the most critical decisions voters will have the opportunity to make. That’s why Strategic Horizon is going all-in on the CCSD Board of Trustees races. That’s why we’re all-in to elect Liberty Leavitt as our School Board Trustee in District A. Our future quite literally depends on it.
